Here you can customise each employee's tax situation. Most (if not all) of these items will appear in your employee's tax declaration.
If your employee has a TFN, just fill in the gap placed conveniently for that purpose. If your employee is waiting for the TFN or is exempted, you can check on the box.
f your employee has always lived in Australia, has recently arrived in Australia and lives here permanently or is an overseas student enrolled to study in Australia for more than six months, they may be an Australian resident for tax purposes. If so, check the box.
If you are still unsure, you can check the ATO page.
From the Employment basis drop down you must check the appropriate employment status for your employees.
You can change an employee's Employment basis at anytime.
An employee may claim tax offsets only if they have claimed the tax-free threshold. If they have claimed this, tick the box and input the estimated amount.
If your employee is above threshold earnings to repay their student debts (HECS-HELP or Supplement), then tick the box that applies.
If your employees would like some of their salary to be deducted as tax, instead of adding a manual tax adjustment each payrun, you simply need to tick the Upwards Variation Requested, and enter the amount that will be deducted from the employee's gross earnings.
If it is approved, tick this box and note the variation percentage.
If your employee has leave entitlements at any time during the financial year, check this box so that they can receive leave loading.
