APCA stands for Australian Payments Clearing Association. APCA is a public company limited by guarantee, owned by the banks, building societies and credit unions. It has been in existence since February 1992 and has specific accountability for key parts of the Australian payments system, particularly payments clearing operations.
What does it mean in Paycycle when we ask you for your APCA Details ?
Some banks require an Institution Code, User ID and/or User Name to be present in order to upload ABA Files (What is an ABA File?), however this differs from bank to bank, so we suggest that you contact your bank directly and request this information. If you bank does not provide or require this information or simply have no idea what your'e talking about, that's OK you can simply leave these fields blank and continue on.
